MGM's lavish wartime remake of "Grand Hotel" with a huge, good-enough cast. Is it entertaining? Yes. Is it as good as the original? No freakin' way! Partially in its cast and mostly in its screenplay it falls far short of the standards set by "Grand Hotel."

TRIVIA: There is little trivia of interest other than one of the extras wears a gown originally designed for Joan Crawford in "Reunion in France." (Assuming someone actually finds this interesting.)
